Roystonhill Community Hub is always looking for new people to help out around the community. If you are looking to learn a new skill and/ or add to your CV get in touch to find out how we can help.
Volunteer your time
We are always looking for people to get more involved with their local community. We have roles available for someone looking to learn reception and admin skills, catering and waitressing, event management and gardening. If these roles don't interest you we can also work together to find something that works for you.
Roystonhill Community Hub is a flexible and easy role to get involved with: if you have a skill or a hobby you want to share with people, we have the facilities available to let that happen. Whether it is a weekly class or a one-off-block. This could be a yoga class, an arts group, cooking classes, well-being therapies, literacy support or even bicycle maintenance. Get in touch to find out how to get involved.
How can this benefit you?
By volunteering your time, you will be able to help the most vulnerable people in the community by involving them in fun and new activities. Getting involved in these projects can be a valuable addition to your CV to reach out to potential employers and can even be added into your portfolio. While at the same time you can meet new people and make new connections.
What do our volunteers do?
We pride ourselves on having some fantastic volunteers that help out around the local community. They were vital in Spire View Housing Association's response to the Coronavirus pandemic. Our own Volunteer Coordinator Angie Fraser started off as a volunteer.
We have volunteers that learn new skills at our reception almost everyday, as well as people working in the kitchen with the Hub on the Hill Cafe and the Young at Heart Group.
Our volunteers run some of our classes as well, one volunteer runs our meditation group, while another hosts free guitar lessons. We also have a crafts group run solely by volunteers. As well as a volunteer who is an experienced CBT Therapist and offers his services every Friday.
We are always looking to add more amazing services and help out around the local community, if you think you would like to be involved, get in touch now to find out more.
